dreaming of when the morning comes

Coldplay!

If it seems odd to you that I would put an exclamation point after Coldplay, well, perhaps you would be correct. I guess I haven't really ever had an opinion on them before. But I got a listen to their new album last week and immediately went out and picked it up myself. It is really pretty amazing!

Think I decided over the last few days that I am going to be able to go to MN again in August. One of my cousins is getting married, and think I've missed too many important family events over the years to miss more. Sometimes you just have to go. And I think I'll be able to make a road trip out of it with a friend and get to stop and visit another friend on the way too! So it should be a fun trip!

Softball update from Monday... Another loss, but another close game. The score was back and forth the entire game with the time expiring while we were still down 2 runs. So so close. But it was another good hitting and scoring game for our team, which was exciting. Believe we scored about 15 runs again, which compared to last season is a drastic improvement. It's at least more fun if you have to lose to lose close games than it is to get 10-runned every time you go out there... Game's at 8:15 next Monday for all those fans wanting to go! :)

And now time for the crazyness of the day to start. Early. Going to go look this afternoon at a possible place to move to. It's less than 5 miles away from work. Woo Hoo! It's kind of another random roommate situation, so hopefully it looks like a good one. All but one of my current roomies moved out this last weekend and I can already tell that the place is going to go to pot (literally??) with the remaining one... So time to get out of there.

my mind is achin

So my body feels as though it should be Saturday already, just by how tired and worn out it is. However...the calander is definitely telling me that it is only Wednesday.

Guess this is what happens when I have a week off of softball and then have the late game the first week back. It was so much fun. But I was so tired by the end of it. But it was fun. Lost by one run in extra innings. Fun times.

Also the fact that we are roughing a house again, which my body isn't exactly used to anymore (yes, i'm getting soft), and the weather has been treating us to some beautiful yet hot days, is kinda sapping the energy from me the last couple of days. But I would much rather be doing this kind of work than sitting around someones house hanging TVs and watching someone else program a remote control. THat is just mind numbing.

Maybe what I'm trying to say is that I'm tired but it is because life isn't too bad right now. Just physical. And that can be gotten used to. As long as I can avoid getting my picture on the "slacker board" at the store of people sleeping on their breaks I should be doing just fine. :)

i'm dying to catch my breath

So not really anything has been happening this week. Pretty much just been working and hangin out whenever I can. Need to do some laundry tonight after I get off from the store. I know, I know...pretty exciting. Started checking out adds for a new place to live. I think maybe I just need to try to find some apts in areas where I wouldn't mind living and see what kind of prices I can get for a place by myself. Cause it doesn't really seem like I know anyone that is looking for a place and I'm kinda over the whole living with people I don't know thing. And I'm thinking about applying for a third job. I know, I need to just go do it instead of thinking about it. So maybe I just will.

And there you have it.

Oh. I've been eating a lot of peanut butter too. Chunky, just in case ya'll were wondering.

long division

Monday. Afternoon. Definitely better than Monday morning. Although, as Monday mornings go, it wasn't one to complain about. Could have been, had I not realized that somehow my clock was an hour behind which would have made me an hour late for work. Always a good way to start out the week. But tragedy was avoided as somehow my sleepy brain realized it was too light outside to still be 5:40 like my clock was trying to tell me. All good.

Got to play a tiny bit of disc golf Sunday afternoon. Think we only played maybe seven holes. Didn't do wonderfly, but not horribly either. Guess that makes it bout average, huh. Was nice to be outside though. Gorgeous day. Then I went home and finally finished reading The Kite Runner. Pretty good book. I would say it was one of the better ones that I have read recently, but as it seems to be the only one I've read recently that really goes without saying. And the books I've read before it have been recommended by an excellant source (thanks Jess! i might be hitting you up for more suggestions soon. or now...) so basically all the books I've read in the last year or two have been well above average.

I guess I really didn't do a whole lot on Saturday. Except work at the store. And that really was actually kinda fun. Got to listen to a lot of music while I was there in the back and I had stuff to do that kept me busy but it wasn't crazy amounts of busy which was nice. And there were fun people there to work with and that always helps the time go by and makes it seem less like you are actually working on Saturday.

And, since it has been almost a week since I've posted I suppose I should throw in something about the rest of last week... Not really a whole lot happened on Wednesday or Thursday. At my regular job we actually started roughing a new house for once. This is what I did almost every day for the first seven or eight or nine months that I worked here. And I like it. But we haven't hardly done any of this for the last four or five or six months. So it was nice to actually be out there doing one and feeling like I actually put in a real days worth of work. Pretty much was exhausted by Friday afternoon, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Gave me a good excuse to take a nap before Friday night.
And I think that that's bout all I have to say about anything for now. Have a great Monday...night. Bye.

stars go blue

Finally won a softball game! We actually ten-runned them right at the end...18-8! It was a pretty fun game. We almost let it get away from us at the beginning, but hung in there and then finally started to pull away.

And then I went home and turned the tv on and the Twins were on! playing the Yankees. It was tied in the bottom of the eighth and the Twins actually scored and then ended up winning!

And then I actually read a little at home. I know, that doesn't sound all that exciting...but it's been probably a month since I've done that. It was great!

There was some saddness though. I finished my Easy Cheese. And my milk. Always sad when the milk is gone.

I did get the official rules from my Mom on how to make hard boiled eggs though. Bring on the high life!

I think "they" (as in "the man") should start a National 7 year old Day where everyone has a day off work and does all their favorite things from when they were 7. Just go out and play on the swings and in the sandbox, build with Legos, eat grilled cheese sandwhiches three times a day, ride your bike as fast as you can down the block and see how long of a skid mark you can leave at the end... I'm going to write my congressman. Or woman. Don't even know which it is that I have.

Speaking of bikes. I bought a cheap used bike yesterday and am intending on starting to ride in to work at least two, maybe three or even four, days a week. So look for updates on that. Could be interesting. I haven't really been on a bike probably for about four years or so.

And now I actually have to go pick some stuff up so I will catch ya'll later!
